Henry Smith MP set to host 5th Crawley Apprenticeship & Jobs Fair
While local unemployment has fallen to one and a half per cent locally, there is more I can do as Member of Parliament for Crawley to help people into education and training.
After previously holding four similar events in recent years, I am looking forward to hosting the Crawley Apprenticeship & Jobs Fair at the Town Hall on 27th March 2017.
I was pleased to welcome recent figures stating that the number of apprenticeship starts in 2015/16 in Crawley was up on the previous year, as it was across the whole of south east England.
However, I am aware that more needs to be done to ensure that more people in our town find work or get into professional training.
Crawley is home to many leading national and global companies, but finding the right kind of work, or getting back in to employment after a period of absence, may be difficult.
This is why I am holding a dedicated Crawley Apprenticeship & Jobs Fair at the Civic Hall on 27th March 2017, which is of course, is free of charge to all job seekers and designed to provide an opportunity to meet and speak with key local employers.
I hope that this event, which is open to people of all ages, will be of interest. If I may be able to assist, please email me at: email@example.com
